This is one of my favorite panels, but I feel like if you had the text boxes cascading from top to down, in one of the corners of the picture , it might make readability a bit better. As it is, positioning them right next to what they're talking about isn't necessarily the best way, the reader can figure out which snippet relates to what avatar of the dark god pretty easily, and besides not linking them makes it a little like you're leaving the audience to figure it out for themselves thus accentuating the 'they all saw something different. Most people will go from top to bottom for the image itself, exploring things and then glance at the text, and compare it with their first impressions and i think it would be a cool journey like that.
