i don't see why this is getting so heated, i often do not see the flaws in my work right away because its my "pride and joy" but i will notice them later and wonder why i did not see it ... so to me some one pointing out a flaw is a good thing because they see it with fresh eyes and can alert me to the issue sooner than i would have noticed on my own.
Just take some sharp shears, and at a 45 degree angle, use them to round out the edge of the fur so that the very tips seem thinner, but its just trimming down the fur
i think it would be greatly improved if you tried making the area where the cheek emets the muzzle more flush. Like, make the cheek not so half-globe looking. Shave down the foam a little more where it meets the muzzle so when there is fur on it it just looks like a continuation of the muzzle, instead of an abrupt difference.

And if you're using clay for your ears, you should try using a layer of foamies instead, and just using clay around the first half of the ear(Where it meets the head) to help give it form. You can heat-form the top of the foamies(Either by holding them over a stove for a minute or dipping them in boiling water and draping them over a form). I use green foam to back mine, or just solid green foam, but that can turn out too thick too
there was nothing to defend.
i have had pieces i thought were oh-so-perfect and loved to death because it is my newest pride and joy only to sneer at them a few months later because all the flaws have become so obvious to me...which means to some one elese these same flaws may be obvious to them right away since it is not their "newest pride and joy" and if they alert me to the flaws i will see them sooner ....and with commissions that is important because it may be in the customers hands before i notice the flaws.

I didn't assume I was better than anyone, but its nice for you to jump to conclusions. I offered a suggestion to improve the overall appearance of the head. Let me teach you a lesson- people who are actually interested in your work, or seeing your potential will NOT throw out honey lipped "so kawaii, neko neko" or "haha that is so cute". Comments like that are flattering, but absolutely serve no end and are utterly uesless and don't help anyone improve on anything. Folks who are interested in seeing someone actualise potential will critique whether you ask for it or not. If your pieces are hanging in a gallery, what you DONT want to hear is "Oh, thats nice". You wait and wait for the asshole to come by and say "Too much greytone, here's how they could have improved".
I was unaware my taking an interest in her art was an insult in any way. I was unaware there was a prerequisite to helping someone that required smearing greasy, thin lipped praise all over your statement.
I'll tell you what IS rude. Butting in on someone else's conversation. Jeeesus christ. Maybe you should take some of that civility you're dripping with and put it to good use.
