Magic is a fussy lady, one who hates it when people ignore her rules and try to mix things up, even inadvertently. It's even riskier when taking stubborn and overzealous druids into account. Here Vinden has become the unwitting party to an act of violating the rules of sorcery.

A certain druid, convinced that the practice of arcane magic brings only disaster and ruin to the natural world, made it his duty to ensure that such casters can never grow powerful enough to threaten the fragile balance of nature. Sadly, that druid didn’t care to consider the distinction between the actually dangerous mages and the rest.

Seeking a spell or ritual to drive off a certain type of animal he despised, Vinden sought out a druid for aid, but chose the wrong one. He was told the spell would make animals more accepting of his presence. What Vinden didn’t know was that it would unlock the wild side his humanity had forgotten.
