Backstory:
While generally a calm and nice individual, Vallie's past troubles her to this day. A sole child of a couple living in the forest city of Idallen, Cartria, her parents loved her very much, caring for her and helping her through whatever difficulties came her way. But even with this attention, Vallie felt lonely, a void which could only be filled by another of her own. When Vallie was five, her parents decided to have another child. Unfortunately, at this point in time, her mother was unable to become pregnant.
After several failed attempts, they finally decided to see a professional from Vybrylon to help them. He informed them of an experimental drug being used to assist with child development in women, but was still in the testing stages, with a 3% chance of side effects occurring. If they truly wished to use it, they must sign and agree to their participation in its testing, and not hold Vybrylon legally accountable for any misfortunes that may befall her. After much contemplation, they signed the papers, and received the drug.
Months later, the drug had wondrously proved to be effective - in time, Vallie would soon have a sister. Both her and her parents marveled at the mother's growing belly, excited for this new member to enter their family.
But sure enough, misfortune saw to them landing in that 3%. Vallie's mom's body warped and reshaped as her child developed, becoming a twisted eight-foot tall mixture of human and lizard, horns protruding from her head menacingly, a fine layer of fur covering her body, while a thick six-foot tail swept behind her. At first, they did their best to cope with these changes, considering that aside from her beastly appearance, Vallie's mom was still normal in mind with a roughly humanoid form she could use as easily as before, aside from the height and tail. But the height and tail, combined with the appearance, still made her stand out, not just to the neighbours...but to her husband.
Things deteriorated as the time to deliver drew close. Vallie's mom wanted to move to a new house to accommodate her form better, while her dad knew very well they couldn't afford it, as well as hiding the fact that he was actually quite intimidated by his wife's new form. Even after Vallie's new sister was born, the fact that the child resembled her mother caused an even larger rift to manifest between her parents. Eventually, Vallie's mom left, taking her new-born daughter with her. She didn't even take the car. Instead, she simply ran, her daughter in her arms, into the vast forest on the edge of the city. Heartbroken, Vallie sobbed for days, her father often joining her in their grief. His guilt for being too economical with the situation, as well as his dislike for his wife's body, didn't help at all with his recovery.
**********
Vallie tried moved on with her life, aiming to becoming a biology and physical education teacher. Ever since her mother's transformation, she had developed a notable interest in the human body. Its anatomy, how it works, agents that can influence it, everything could learn. But there were times when should couldn't focus, as memories of those awful months returned, frozen inside her dorm room as they flooded her mind. Her roommate tried to help her out when she could, but ultimately, the memories would not go away, and very little could be done to reduce how long the flood lasted. One constant fact kept coming up in them. That Vybrylon was indirectly responsible for her mother's horrible mutation.
And so, when she heard about a group forming to stand up against inhuman experimentation and dangerous testing, Vallie did everything in her power to learn more about them. She left Idallen and flew to Southport, Tepestria, where the group's primary headquarters was stationed. There, she met with the group's founder, Katherine Arvilich, a domineering Tieran woman with strong religious roots. There, Vallie listened and agreed with everything Katherine had to say about her cause. There, Vallie became a member of the Ardent Determinants Alliance.
She will avenge the atrocity which took her mother and sister away from her. Vybrylon will pay.
Yaaay! Trina...no, Willow, no...Vallie has been updated! =D
Yes, she has gone through a number of name over the course of her life. But I think I've settled with this one now.
