Aha! You caught it! The author had me put that in there. We plan to hide runes in all of the covers :3 Although she described it as a Nordic rune: "That is Jera (pronounced Yair-uh), and is a rune that represents changing of seasons, proper timing, patience, and reward." Although I have surely known runes to have multiple meanings across different cultures!
