XP besides bongos don't vibrate, its the whole point that just the skin at the top vibrates and makes the noise silly

True....but when you hit the bongo, the skin vibrates, which in turn will also cause the cylinder making up the bongo to vibrate as well. The same goes with a drum. It may not vibrate as much as the skin, but it still vibrates.

n.n I have a natural thing for beat n rhythm but I never enjoyed learning instruments, so I really enjoy simple percussion

well, sometimes when one of the local bands do a concert one of them gets sick or something and can't play and sometimes when the drummer is sick I get asked to fill in, it doesn't sound as good cause I don't know the material or what the others are playing very well and I have to pretty much make it up as I go but it works
anyway, that's how that goes, now I write my own stuff for my band which unfortunately is somewhat dysfunctional, the guitarist is kinda lazy and can't remember what he plays, the bassist writes rave music (he's actually quite good at it) and the only one of us who can somewhat sing is me and that doesn't work out too well trying to play the drums and singing at the same time, and I haven't been able to get all three of us together at the same time to play ^^;
and so that's frustrating at times

lol Ringo kinda sucked as a drummer, there's a reason the Beatles didn't have very much percussion in their music XD
though I will admit, he was better than their first drummer
