With that said, there are always games that only come out on console that WILL make you buy that console if for nothing else.. Like the Gamecube for Star Fox Adventure/Assault and PS3 for Metal Gear Solid 4.. Yep, I own a Gamecube and only two games for it, you can guess which two, lol.
Awesome as always, Folly!

Depends on the monitor setup. But that leads into the pros and cons of console and pc. With console, its one (relatively)low price, hook it up to the tv and that's it. With PC, you can easily fork out $1500 for a good gaming rig (I've got $3000 in mine, details here if curious) and then making sure you get everything right if you build it yourself. But if you can fork out the investment, you have a rig that can make even the most demanding games look stunningly beautiful.
So the problem with PC is the incredible cost, but you get great performance and more often a larger game selection. With console, its simple and costs MUCH less than a PC rig but not as powerful, although console games are adjusted to the hardware so it balances out. Consoles can be far less quirky than PCs as well.
But you said it perfectly; to each their own. For those that can afford an ubber gaming rig, more power to them. Just my two cents.

A lot of work goes into making PCs, and I respect that. My boyfriend just made one this summer and it was quite the project. I don't know, it's probably just a personal preference. I've played games on his computer, even the same games I have on my Xbox, and I still prefer the consoles. Honestly, whatever makes that person happy! ^^
Very true. And there's always the games that aren't out on PC. Like "Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation" on XBox 360, I LOVE that game, lol. Or one of my all-time FAVORITE games, Einhander on PS2. And Halo.. so many hours spent on Halo. Oh sure, you can find emulators on PC, but they're not nearly as good as the actual consoles.
