As y'all may know I have been working on a basket made of chainmaille. Well this here is the completed sides for the basket without its bottom. As you can clearly see it is retaining its shape perfectly even though it is a flat european 6-1 pattern of chainmaille. The reason it is able to do so is it is woven so tight with rings of such a low and perfect aspect ratio for the weave. If the rings had an aspect ratio of .1 less it would not be physicaly possible to use them for this weave. The rings are made from jewelers brass. The project is already finished and as of now is in a gem and mineral show display case. I have not taken pictures of it yet but as soon as the convention is over I will post them.
