Jason sat quietly on the edge of the cliff, watching the sun grow low over the horizon, turning the sky and water the color of blood.
His brow was low, and his clothes were tattered-
Sea winds, and days of scrounging the coastline had faded the deep blue of his jeans, and turned his white shirt a mottled gray.
The bandicoot took a deep breath and watched, contemplative.
She had left to go see her mother in China a few weeks ago, with a promise to be back as soon as she could.
The sentiment was old-fashioned, perhaps, but Jason Had promised her that he would be waiting for her, here, on this cliff, with or without the curse of turning into the very stone he now sat upon.

I REALLY, REALLY like this picture. Something about painting- REALLY painting, even digitally- is very soothing.
I made the inks for this the same day that i made the inks for the "just a brother and a sister" picture, intending to do something like this with it. . .
I think it's a success :3
This one will definitely be sold as a print :3
(the JPG compression sort of killed it. I forget how much worse off Red is in compression than any other color seems to be..
If i get enough request, I'll replace this with a slightly less compressed version, if possible.
this is about a sixth of the original size. :3 )

I am, unfortunately, very lame, and the voice i hear in my head whenever i read the title is from the episode "The Ghost at Maiden's Peak"-- an early episode of Pokemon. (nineteen, actually.
