Not trying to sound like a smart ass (though I'm preeety sure I did anyway), but its hard to make characters when there's so much already out there, there's a risk of things looking similar.

Plus, and this is completely a personal opinion, bear dogs aren't really 'original', just a hybridization of two pre existing species which isn't that hard to make happen in the first place.

Although I agree with DamonWolf in regards to the ownership of a species which is simply two animals mixed together and it would be nonsensical to think you were original with the idea of that, I think sometimes you're going to have a bit of trouble when the style matches that of someone elses. As it goes, it's best to be as unique and as original as you can but its a tough road to be on!

Well I think from following both artists for a long time, I notice similarities. It's a common artist judgement and again like you say its a matter of opinion. I'm neither bias or give false criticism. If you are a friend the likelihood is you're going to be supportive and generally give nice compliments without at actual criticism. Where as myself, regardless if I was a friend I'd be honest as I can about art where I can. Two different levels to me, I still think Club is an incredible artist and has a lot of potential, as does Hazey <3

it's not really because she's of my best friend's that I say that, I've also followed Clubs and Haze for a super long time (i think I've know of them both since I was still on dA which had to be a good 7 years ago??) I know because of how long they were friends that their styles can have similarities but I personally do not think their styles look that much alike. Haze has a much looser style, for example the way she draws her bear dogs it's very stylized and easily recognizable by the way she does her anatomy while Clubs has a much harder and bulkier style to her bodies if that makes sense?? I'm bad at explaining but I can see like the nose maybe or because the paws on this character are a bit flowy I can see but that's about it imo! but it's nice to be able to have an actual argument about this with someone instead of a common OMG THIS IZ TTLY STOLAN!!!!!1111!! type of convo haha
