Rooth'roo is actually a special species of roo called a "snowshooroo", or snowshoe kangaroo. Imagined up by flinters and I decades ago on FurryMUCK, the species has convergent traits with the snowshoe hare, but is not a hybrid. All the same, the species is very suited for snow, and so Rooth'roo was a great choice for this concept, listed merely as "(3) Shoveling snow off an airport runway with his huge feet and tail".
Brown took on an interesting angle on this one, so that he could depict both the runway itself, and the iconic circus-tent-like buildings at DIA. And after such a heavy snowfall, pretty much everything is Rooth-white except the runway itself. ;) There's a first or two in here for Brown, a big experiment for him, so extra kudos for going out of your comfort zone and trying new things! That's what Zootopia's all about, too! Woot woot!

The Helpful Macro project is, in a way, a tribute to Zootopia, but also a way to inspire fans, artists, and commissioners alike to envision worlds where sentient beings of radically varying sizes not only coexist, but cooperate. Macro works may often involve crushing/eating/destroying, and while that's great fun for many a macro fan, there's much more to be found in the theme than that.
This project aims to put the spotlight on alternate aspects of macro, because that is what I find most fascinating about macro art -- it inspires people to contemplate alternate perspectives beyond their own, not just artistically, but philosophically as well. That's something we all would do well to practice more often.
To celebrate the spirit of this project and the overlap with Zootopia's themes, I will be posting at least one completed commission from this project per day leading up to Zootopia's release on March 4th 2016. Keep your eyes open, and look out: macros about!
Most of my macro submissions have been friendly, non-destructive, and often helpful. I invite you to browse them, discover new artists to follow, and perhaps even commission them for some helpful macro ideas of your own. :)

Very nice and touching words and I do fully agree! Overall I just love macros as destructive powerful creatures, it's this incredible contrast between their power, superiority, elegance and the victims helplessness, suffering, significance...
BUT
...deep into my heart, I just feel like you. Because it feels right. This is not a question of your dick anymore, its a question of your heart. And my heart craves after a protective macro guardian as well, who takes me into his warm embrace.
Now, this inner conflict between cruel and evil has been raging in my mind for several years. And I came to a solution to solve it: Create a giant project, uniting both extremes in one multichapter-fanfiction, with macros who are evil, macros who are kind, and macros who unite both features. If you are interested, start right here! I Look forward to your feedback and to your H.M.P. as well! I will also check your gallery! Loving wishes, Rash

Oh, brilliant! Macro/micro stories always fascinate me, and have inspired me to start building my own imaginary world where there are gradients of size (not to dissimilar from Zootopia, but not species-specific), and there's a strong correlation between size and social status ... but not always.
I see it like this: if you're so much more enormous than those around you, so much more powerful, what level of responsibility do you take for your advantage? We tend to believe that a human with great power would exert it oppressively, would take advantage of all those lesser beings, and basically be unpleasant to the world. But I'm not so sure. There are plenty of powerful humans who do wonderful things for humanity ... so it seems natural to me that there ought to be plenty of powerful macros who do wonderful things for the smaller beings in their society.
I will be sure to check out your story project! I love story/art combination projects like that. I have a little one also, with a timeline and story that evolves with each commission in that theme. It's sort of been backburnered by the macro stories I'm cooking, and the helpful macro project represented here. :) Which I thought about weaving into a story project, but I decided a short-term high-freedom approach leading up to Zootopia would be much more fun. So far, it is. :)
Thanks for the comment, and the pointer to your story! I'll try to check it out this weekend. :)
