Love it!
This is an original ww2 British Tommy helmet.
I just picked this up from the surplus store for 35$
It's dated 1943.

I don't know much about these so any information would be great.

Indeed! It's a World War I design too, I think its losely based on the WW1 French Adrian helmet, does it have any numbers or letters or whatever?

WW2 actually. The ww1 helmets where much flatter.

Dated BRAF ( British royal armed forces)1943

The rest of the markings are as follows.

#55 in the liner

And VB564SLN. Written on the rim.

That's it.

That looks like mine. Mine is white and was a civil defense helmet. Same model but the military model was a different color.

Looks like Africa tone even. The Tommy helmets are so iconic. and for 35 buck, you got your self a snag, man. Congrats.
I got the US WW1 Brodie for $38
Missing the chinstrap, but liner and helmet in great shape, perfect aging.
