If you're wondering where I've been for the last year or so, this outstanding picture by
thesaria shows exactly why I'm scarcely online these days.
As mentioned under the earlier picture "Thank you to Friends" I was made redundant in Feb 2014 and out of work for six months. In October I began a new job, and now I have very little if any spare time.
No time to be on the Furstralia forums.
No time to play online games with my friends.
No time for any creative writing.
No time to develop my drawing skills.
No time to learn photoshop, GIMP, Blender or Inform7
No time to even hunt for a new job.
On rare occasions I get out to do a bit of photography, but I never seem to find time to sift through my photos afterward to chose which ones to upload.
When I was made redundant, two idiots at my old workplace said to me "This could be the best thing that ever happened to you!"
I hope they both die in a fire.

Indeed it's not healthy. I've been suffering worsening health problems since I began this job.
All my friends are sympathetic to my situation, but none can help - there are so few jobs around, and fewer still for someone with my skill set. I have friends who I've worked with in the past and they've been looking for jobs with their current employers but haven't found any that I'm qualified for. One of my former colleagues is a senior manager in the company where I was made redundant. When the upper management made the decision to end my job he privately said to me "They're making the wrong staff member redundant." He explained that he doesn't have the authority to get me back in there. So I keep hoping and praying that he'll be promoted to General Manager.
When I was out of work for six months and intensively searching for work, in all that time I only had three job interviews. Two were just job agencies wanting to know more about me, and the third was for a call centre role, which would have been even worse than the job I'm doing now. The job market is just impenetrable these days. I'd be happy to try a different line of work, but it would need to be enough to cover my rent, and the cost of housing in Australia is completely out of control.
