Post-poned the Fanart Friday post on purpose, this time you guys get access to the weekly pic at the same time as Patrons….because today it’s Pokemon’s w20th anniversary, so I really really wanted to post this today ♥
I’m sorry if this picture doesn’t give a minimum of justice to the wonderful series, but I only had time for a simple sketch like this; even if it’s not the quality I wanted to give, I’m still happy to have it done in time, as a little something to myself <3
I actually started my wonderful trip in the Pokemon world when I was 7, with the Silver version! That’s why I haven’t drawn a pic with me and Red/Gen 1, because I got it later and, after rage quitting because of my save file being wiped out, gave it very soon to my sister. So, little to no time (and memories) with that game, I only fully enjoyed starting from 2012, when I started Aida’s gameplay >,:
Ever since then, Pokemon has been a fandom very VERY dear to me, it watched me grow and helped me giving some relief during hard times, it made me grow, meet people with my same passions, feel like I had friends when I was alone, gave me countless hours of joy….really I could just go on and on because it just effected me SO much ;//v//;
Kids these days are missing out a lot, not Gen-wise but because back in the 90’s and early 2000’s the ‘mons were EVERYWHERE, you could see Pokemon food, clothes, toys, etc. really all over the place, every kid at school had the game, the cards, or at least a lot of love for the series, because of lack of internet there were all those silly rumors and challenges about glitches and finding Pokegods (it was hilarious xD), it was amazing! I really wish it would become more popular again, sigh;;;
Dear Pocket Monster, thanks for being in my life and in that of millions of other people; I love just as much as in the beginning and here’s to hope for many more years together ♥♥♥
Is anyone else hyped about Gen7 / Pokemon Sun and Moon? I HONESTLY CAN’T WAIT ASDFGHJKL;;;;
