This road was eventually too steep for my sad little 2WD S-10 to touch, didn't want to spin the tires on rocks made of pure volcanic glass. At the top of this hill was a small quarry ripe with obsidian.

Hell yeah!, though you wouldn't be able to apply your brakes during any of it. So no way in hell! (reason is just due to the amount of volcanic glass) I actually ruined a good pair of hiking boots on that expedition just due to scuffing and scaring. Stuff actually ate chips of the rubber completely out from the soles!!!
Bike tires? you mean there were tires on that bike?! Heh heh heh! The stuff raw is easily sharp enough to give a good shave job without even feeling the cut. When I'm working the stuff I have to wear thick hard leather padding just so I won't go straight through and penetrate my skin. Before I started using some good speciality gloves I was practicing the art of blood letting! Or so it seemed.
