way back when i built my 14 by 36 lathe from scratch - handscraped dovetail ways eth whole nine yards,
then i built a small mill and used it for several years. ended up selling it and my silver streak trailer to finance a moe and a business cas was wanting me to in with on her. now 4 or so years later ive finally gotten around to building a new mill. this one more closely matches the traditional formstyle of a bridgeport.

rigidity is more than good enough for steel, but im finding i need to rework the long axis slide as it has a slight bit of very odd slop in the long slide. it seems to ocasionally drift in its alignment. and its not one of those reliably repeatable things so im tracking it down. i may simply build a new long slide if i cant get it to behave.
