That's the vibe I've been getting lately. I just want people to know that, even if we don't share the same struggles, we're glad to struggle together if it means achieving our goal of equality.

No cis people don't completely understand how it feels to be oppressed that way but a lot of cis people are only here to help and here to listen to the problems and try to fight with you

They did not mean this in any rude or mean way they meant this out of the kindness of their heart
While no cis people do not suffer oppression cis people can also suffer from suicidal tendencies and other such issues, while they are not the same situations they are enough to try to understand and sympathize and help as much as possible.
Equality is just that, equality
And sympathizing and having awareness in the form of any kind is appreciated
Being demisexual/asexual I do understand this feeling of being shutdown and not listened to
But I am not rude to those who may not quite understand because that's it, they don't understand like I do
I do not get upset with people who tell me suicide is nothing but selfishness, when I have attempted so many times because of the issues I personally have, while they are not the worst issues one can have they affect me, but if someone tells me something that I may find offensive or uneducated I kindly tell them how I feel and we have a calm conversation about it

I'm not saying your points are not correct because they are
I'm not saying that either of you are "right" or "wrong" I'm just saying this could've gone down a different way.
You should know of all people what it's like to be spoken down to, to be on the other side of a message like that, and it was not necessary.
It takes more effort to be upset than it does to teach the right way to go about things

You are right, but all you had to do was kindly tell them how to really go about this in a way they wouldn't be offensive to some people instead of attacking someone who doesn't understand exactly how you feel but wants to help badly enough to post it here showing how much they do care and want to help.

You know, they brought up their cis-struggles as a way to say "hey please don't just go 'oh of course you're an 'ally', you over-privileged cis asshole who's never faced real hardship before'" and that's basically exactly what you responded with.

Beautiful message. Cooler heads will prevail and people who want unity will come together. I appreciate this sentiment and I choose to ignore people craving separation.
