Based on a role play I started on Flist with someone who's name I wish to withhold until he sees this, he logged off early and we only had a very minor part, but I loved the idea and want to make a mini story based on it.

Toby realized that his college loans were beginning to take a toll on him and he really needed to get that debt under control. He recently applied for a job as a night time zookeeper to help get some extra cash. This job was not his first choice trust me, but he only has a degree in Art History... small job market. The only reason he got the job is because his cousin works the kiddie train. It was closing time and everyone was gone, and suddenly Toby heard some random growling from the distance, so he took his pepper spray and went off. Toby really knows how to use pepper spray, it's the reason he never has prowlers in his house.

There was a bear in his section standing on all four paws and growling out loud, smelling something new today. The growls were so loud they were waking up the sea lions next to his pen, and they can't perform unless they get their 23 hours of sleep. He wanted to see the new meat for the first time and give him a 'piece of his mind' so to say...!

Toby went to the bear's cage, he was concerned. Suddenly the growling stopped and Toby got worried. "Oh crap... if someone snuck in here and poached him I am so dead!" worried that this would happen, just like the gypsy woman said. When Toby got to the bear he was relieved to find that the bear was not dead... just standing disturbingly.

The bear remained stoic and still, faintly growling while looking at Toby. His eyes were glowing and had spirals in them. He stared intensely at Toby making sure he was watching him as well.

Toby was wondering what was going on, he looked right into the bear's eyes and was very disturbed, wondering what he was doing. As he looked deeper into the bear's eyes, he just dropped the pepper spray where he was standing and began to feel woozy.

The bear stopped growling and his eyes glowed much brighter, "Can you understand me?" the bear asked, very surprisingly.

Toby's first reaction was, "Talking bear? Dude screw zookeeping, I found a talking bear, I'm rich!" and was extremely excited to get out of this crappy job. Though he looked back into his eyes again and simply responded, "Yes..."

The bear grinned and continued to look into Toby's eyes, "You're going to open the door." he told the man having some special plans for him...

Toby slowly started walking over to the cage and simply responded, repeating the bear's command, "I'm going to open the door..." and sticks the key into the lock and lets the bear out. However after he looks away from his eyes, and snaps out of it, "Hey! Why did I just do that?"

The bear chuckled and closed the door himself, "Sorry boy, but I have some special powers, you understand don't you... You great big stinky buffalo?" The bear said in his deep voice as his eyes started spinning again and looked right over at Toby.

At that moment Toby got on all fours and started to eat the grass. He mooed a bit and was breathing deeply out of his nose, thinking he was a buffalo as his eyes were spinning.

The bear laughed and snapped his paw, Toby stopped mooing and went back to normal, "Hypno bears, FurAffinity's got a lot of them this week." Suddenly both Toby and the bear smiled and looked right at the camera and said in unison, "Hey Tailsment!" and waved.

Following, Toby tried to run away and he grabbed his pepper spray. He tried to use it on the bear to make him stop trying to hypnotize him, however the spray seemed to have no effect on the bear at all... (Future tip, never buy generic pepper spray.) Then the bear grabbed Toby's arm and held him close as he started to spin his eyes again. Toby was unable to run away and had to look right into the bear's hypnotic eyes.

"You're going to listen to my words, now just relax and listen to what I have to say." He said in his deep demanding tone. Toby was unable to look away and soon his eyes started spinning like the bear's eyes. The bear looked over and figured he could let Toby go now. Toby kept looking into the bear's eyes and stayed in his trance. "From now on, daytime you are a human, but at night you are a bear like me, and bears don't stand on their feet, they sniff and lick them..."

Toby's mind was running wild with new thoughts, he dropped to his knees and stripped to his skin, standing like a bear. The grizzly grinned and placed his big bear paw in front of Toby, and he just pressed his nose against the footpaw and then placed his tongue on it...

The grizzly bear manically chuckles and the screen reads:

"To be Continued... or will it...?"
