[LORE] - What Exactly Is A Mongrel?
Whilst I continue prepping for Chapter 9, here's some delicious low-fat gluten-free fully-organic* filler!
Lida, Redwing and Empress Grimstone didn't discuss this because they all know what a Mongrel is, and that would be a pointless conversation for them to have.
However, you lot don't know what a Mongrel is (at least not in the CnC continuity), so here's an excerpt from a biology textbook on the basics of the Mongrel species. If you have any questions ontop of what's here, ask below, and if I can do so without spoiling anything plot-wise, I'll do my best to answer. :D

Nah that's just a bunny/deer hybrid. Mongrels can be composed of any number of different species - they almost look like a Frankenstein's Monster of different animal parts in some cases. Eighteen happens to be one of the rare ones who could pass for a somewhat extreme hybrid.
There are some groups who, behind closed doors, deem the Mongrels to be a lesser species, and will make efforts to stop them publically displaying any signs of potential for growth. They don't want them mingling with the common folk, as it were. (TLDR: Bigots gonna Bigot.)
