i noticed you need a better ideal for melting wax, i am not sure but this just sounds like an ideal to me, get an old pot, probably on the small size, and get a medium or large size, fill the larger one with some water, and put the smaller one in it, with the wax you want to melt, and put it on low/medium heat and stir until you get a nice liquid consistency. that is how you melt chocolate, and i believe it is the same way to melt soap if you have molds.

it is also a good way to melt anything without burning what you are melting.
