Spencer has a bit of a soft spot for automatics, particularly classic submachine guns. Russian weapons are particularly attractive, case in point the WWII era PPSh-41 in 7.62 mm Tokarev with a 71 round drum.

6'4 and broad shouldered, actually the proportions are a little bit off, but I couldn't find a lot of pics that showed the gun's proportional size to a larger person really well so it's not a big deal.
