Rex ad Radices Montis (Lost in the Wild)
another Asgore fanart. This one Was For anda activity my college is doing To promote the academy in which I study, but wanted it to be shared.
I personally say that Asgore as an Undertale character and the theme he gives to the game, is simply majestic. Not so many people, including me, can deal easily with any choice, made right or wrong, just because there is a bad side for each. Asgore was the main victim of the war he incidentally made in order to save Asriel, Toriel and his people. It was his love for the ones he cared for that made Toriel leave him, because she wanted to make peace by the pacifist way, and Asgore blindly tried to make everything turn back as it was before Chara. Making Asriel a senseless and cynical flower, killing 6 humans in order to save more of his kind, waiting for a Seventh soul that could let him know that there is another way, that there is no necessity of recurring to the human way (who would be worse than the monsters) and can make peace with Toriel and his past.
After reading the lore, I respect more Asgore as a father and protector of both sides of the world, rather than a bara role model and just a Goat Dad. Any Undertale character is very well developed to complement each other's story, even the dogs are there for a reason. Asgore is, for me, is the representation of Redemption in the game, and the Determination to forgive, to go on, to SPARE.
That's why the fanart :3
