https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frost_flower A very gorgeous natural phenomenon. These were coming out of red clay, and were all over the ground. Practically fields of them. Definitely something I won't get to see very often.

I get them here sometimes in Oregon when it's cold, they're usually in the mud :v
But yeah, they're quite cool, excellent shot ^v^

I wish I would run across them more often. Most people around here spot them coming out of dead plant stems, sometimes wood, but I had never seen them in clay like this. It was pretty dang awesome!
