I have been poking at this picture for at least a month or two. Started as a sketch I doodled while at D&D one night, of my character and an Ambush Drake that he kinda adopted. And then I pushed myself to try new things with the line art, and the amount of detail I put into it, and especially with the shading. I think it turned out amazingly though. Definitely worth the time and effort, and it feels like it's one of the better pictures I've drawn as of yet!
This version came about by struggling with the background. Thought it would be a fun idea to make them actual D&D figures on a grid~
