NightLineZ took part in the Helpful Macro project with this color painting of Rooth'roo on his first job for this up-and-coming-tragically-cursed company, RooPS!

NightlineZ has drawn for me before, but never something quite this detailed or elaborate, I think. The item said only "(13) Carrying a couple of UPS/Fedex trucks (speaks for itself I think). Possibly wearing a UPS/FedEx uniform", but NightlineZ got a bit more creative with it than that, establishing a punny company for the 'roo, and making him out to be less helpful than he wishes he was, which is Rooth'roo's MO anyhow. ;)

I mean, let's face it, if this would only have worked, if that bag hadn't been sabotaged into breaking at just the wrong moment, this would have been a fantastic way to transport trucks from sector to sector quickly, saving all sorts of gas, and all sorts of time. Products would be delivered with lightning speed, and that return trip to restock the truck at the airport? In some cases as few as ONE HOP!

Alas, someone broke that bag, and now there's going to be this huge lawsuit, and probably a few lives will be lost, and Rooth'roo will be fired (which makes him grow).

Poor guy. ;)

T R I B U T E

The Helpful Macro project is, in a way, a tribute to Zootopia, but also a way to inspire fans, artists, and commissioners alike to envision worlds where sentient beings of radically varying sizes not only coexist, but cooperate. Macro works may often involve crushing/eating/destroying, and while that's great fun for many a macro fan, there's much more to be found in the theme than that.

This project aims to put the spotlight on alternate aspects of macro, because that is what I find most fascinating about macro art -- it inspires people to contemplate alternate perspectives beyond their own, not just artistically, but philosophically as well. That's something we all would do well to practice more often.

To celebrate the spirit of this project and the overlap with Zootopia's themes, I will be posting at least one completed commission from this project per day leading up to Zootopia's release on March 4th 2016. Keep your eyes open, and look out: macros about!

Most of my macro submissions have been friendly, non-destructive, and often helpful. I invite you to browse them, discover new artists to follow, and perhaps even commission them for some helpful macro ideas of your own. :)
