At the reptile shows folks bring their beautiful animals for sale and education. The owner of this fine specimen took the animal and his perch out of the cage for me to take some great photographs. What began as a speed drawing that sold the second I put the pen down, I translated to a painting. The best part was I knew exactly what colors I wanted to use.
This took about 10 hours in acrylic. I loved making the marble background, it was fun working with all that water and paint
