The first Krieglandonian-Greek G-52, Mystical Major landed in Greece by mistake, but saw how similar it was to Kriegland with its own cultures and elements (such as huge frowning of electronics in public, and nobody watches television because they don't want the evil spirits popping out), so he decided it was a better home than America ever was. When he was discovered during the soap opera of Wildcat City, its mass emigration that led half its population to leave it overnight saw a bunch of Krieglandonians move to Greece.
Like the Marching Wonder, the Mystical Major wears a white drum major's uniform and carries a mace into battle (though he doesn't play the drums).

C.K./King Leo: People do ask me why we didn't go to Greece in the first place, considering how much we have in common with them when you take out all the negative bad elements.

Zachary: Because America is the land of opportunity with everything and it is founded by immigrants? Not to mention, you don't need to modify your uniforms to be an American because we allow personal tastes? Where else do you get to go that has as much freedom as America does? In several other countries, they tend to make you a part of their countries by making you guys follow their beliefs. That's what happened to Lion of Light and his unit in Israel is that they either convert to Judaism or they can't be welcomed in Israel.
Lion of Light: To each of their own but yes the Krieglandonians in America don't have to worry about sacrificing some of their ways to be part of society. Because I'm Jewish, I cannot for example eat pork because it is not kosher.
Zachary: Not all Jews keep kosher and in America, there are Jews who eat pork.
Lion of Light: I understand but because I'm from Israel, I represent their kind. And because I'm in the IDF, I must uphold the Jewish way of life for my followers and myself.
