As you might of guessed from the title, this piece is inspired by Ao no Exorcist (Blue Exorcist), one of my favourite manga. The artwork in question references Kazue Katō's inside cover art of her 10th book of the series; I will provide a link to the image as soon as possible, I may have to scan it in, it's so beautiful ;o;
I roughly took the position, similarity in sword style and a relic or monument that she's standing on to create a personal piece which I will be water colouring at some point in the future. The paper is A4 in size and of course of textured watercolour paper, my cheaper equivalent to my Arches watercolour book I recently purchased which looks a lot more appealing and its thicker.
From something that started off as an experiment doodle, I didnt expect to end up creating a piece I enjoyed. I look forward to doing more personal pieces of art :3

Kemono is a genre of Japanese art and character design that prominently features fictional anthropomorphic or sentient animal characters in human-like settings and situations. It is used widely in drawing, painting, manga, anime, and video game designs, many of which are popular in the rest of the world. (quote)
KuroBlood would be considered Kemomo by many I think but I'm not sure if they
would personally say it was in kemono style. Kemono Is generally a word as stated
above as the Japanese equivilant, that has been used to describe anthropomorphic
beasts or characters and slowly we associate it with kinda of Japanese styles
when anthro art or characters are drawn. Hope that helps :3
