A creative commission for Phantom-Phox
Her character is an Australian wombat mechanic from in a dieselpunk world, which I really, really love so I frankly enjoyed working on this one, even though I somehow managed not to include any dieselpunk-ish stuff.
I've never drawn a wombat or even a bulkier character before, so this was a great opportunity to do so. Sure, I could have pulled them off a little better, but we all have to start somewhere.
It took me much longer, because redrew her a couple of times not mention I had little time to actually work on in the first place. While the background turned out to be lovely, I'm not satisfied with the way the character herself looks. She is quite stiff and the style is all over the place. I'm not even sure the pose was a good choice ... but maybe I just spent too much time on this one and started nitpicking.
Still, I hope you'll like it!
