ISO 101 was a robot released to revolutionize the home environment. It could do everything a human could do, accepting simple voice commands. Many didn't like it's clunky, subhuman shape, however, and the demand came for robots with more and more human features.
ISO 227 was the first android to pass the Uncanny Valley, and produce a humanoid androgynous robot that wasn't met with immediate revulsion.
When the ISO 397 model was produced with more feminine features, it was only a matter of time before certain individuals started to alter the base model, adding new physical features, rooting her operating system, and installing their own programs.
Then came the problems. Mango Technologies' core ISO programming followed a simple policy: obey every command to the letter. Commands like 'Wash the white clothes with bleach, and the dark clothes with cold water' were simple enough to follow. 'Love me', 'pleasure me', and 'take care of me forever', and other such amorous phrases clashed with ISO 397's programming, resulting in... erratic behavior.
Despite some bad publicity, the ISO 397, aka Isobel, is still the most popular consumer helper android on the market to date.
New models are shipped with bold warnings.
