I've tried all sorts of shit to sleep, but its still a case of only being able to sleep in the morning. :/

Only when I'm in my house though. When I'm at my partner's, I sleep like a cozy kitten. It turns out it is stress. Even the nightmares stop and I have my usual weird-not-scary dreams. Changing the environment can do wonders. In the meantime you could try incense, chamomile tea, passion fruit stuff (delicious, but careful with your stomach because it's very acid) and putting some flowers around your room (this kinda helped me to not snap more than once).
