Once upon a time, the idea of me doing so many original backgrounds would have had me quaking in my boots. But it turned out to be a rather cathartic exercise, both in terms of location scouting and taking reference photos, and also pushing my ability to depict light. Truthfully, I did mess up a little on panel number 4: it'd be impossible from that angle to get that hue in the sky if the sun's coming from the west. But hey, artistic license, and there's a nice bit of visual symbolism for Whinirk's mental resignation into apathy. This was written during a time I was pretty depressed but fret not, this won't be one of those pity-party stories. Things will start heating up and make sense!
