DBX: Divided by Four [34] -END-
With that, differences are settled, maturity is reached, and much-needed forgiveness is acquired. <3 Guest starring
v0yser‘s DBX majin, Hio. I’ve drawn her a few times in the past. :D
Some loose ends that I couldn’t tend to in the comic:
1// The Butt Maestro and Flute. They too got detained by the Galactic Police. The Butt Maestro was released much sooner than the others due to being dumb and harmless, and Flute some time after him for being on good behavior. The two are out there palling around somewhere and have fallen out of contact with Icebox. Maybe they’ll get in touch again some day.
2// Taters. Still super-dead and is spending time in Hell. She’s too chill to bother making trouble though, so she’s mostly just doing her own thing. While Icebox misses her, she’s come to realize that Taters was kind of a psychopath. It took her a long time, but she was finally able to accept that Taters’ death was on her hands, not Pliabuu’s.
3// Toki Toki’s Tien. Pliabuu will introduce Icebox to him at some point I’m sure, and she’ll totally fangirl out.
4// Time Skip Pliabuu. Since I don’t plan on following this story anymore, here’s the lore I have in my head. She still can’t sense power levels (she’s only without her scouter here because she’s off-duty), but HAS grown immensely more powerful in her own right. She’s developed some techniques based on the New Crane School’s method of teaching (sacrificing life force for the sake of power) and put spins on pre-existing ones. She’s also probably died once, but you know how much of an inconvenience that is in the Dragon Ball universe. Because Majin are much more long-lived than humans, she hasn’t actually aged much.
5// Time Skip Icebox. She’s gotten a little more powerful over the years, but because she was stuck in jail she didn’t have much opportunity to train. But under Pliabuu’s tutelage, she’ll improve her skill and technique, and will adopt additional forms along her way. Much like majin, freezers also have longer lifespans than humans, and in that respect hasn’t aged that much either.
Wuf! Man, this thing went on for like, twenty pages more than I had anticipated when I set out. And honestly there were several points where I’d considered giving up on it outright - mostly during the ages-long battle sequence. I was tired of telling an action scene and not a story. But knowing that I was almost done gave me the strength to see it through to the end. But much like Icebox, I too am ready. To move on. To the next comic I mean.
That being said, we’re heading right back into the world of the Pokemorphs! As usual I’ll be taking a couple weeks off to recollect myself and maybe start building a buffer, but expect an update with more details soon. Keep an eye out. :)
Thanks for following me on this ride, folks!
