Nothing actually changed HER. SHE, like all trans people, are exactly who they are (aka, the gender they tell you they are).
As kids, however, most people haven't even heard of the term 'transgender,' so will spend their childhoods as their 'assigned' gender, instead of the one they discover they actually are later in life.
Please don't purposely misgender a character that I specifically said was female, least you do it to a trans person in real life.
