Since we're on the weave of fanarts, I decided to finish and post my old attempt at imagining adult Kion :) I must say, the show is a huge let down, but I do enjoy his character and watching it is a nice past time :3 So here it is, Kion, leader of the Lion Guard :D

And the show is nice, animation though leaves a lot to be wished for. But my main quarrel is with the magic powers. In original tlk "magic" was esoteric and shows in situations of heightened emotional state where you can rationalize it as a character seeing things. Here it's just weird.

I don't think it's magic, I think it's imaginative, and it happens to fit well with my own imagination so even tho I thought it sounded hoakey at first I sort of fell for it after the premiere...
I mean it's tv.. and tv should automatically be disregarded and not trusted and viewed only when something more fun can't be done.
The Lion King was a masterpiece, so it is impossible to follow it really.

I'm so disappointed with this show. I couldn't get into it. Love the Lion King. It was the reason it got me into the fandom. I Know I should support it, but. Man, except for Kion's character, they really made a mess of all the character designs. Simba doesn't even look or act like the Simba of old. Everything about the show just feels completely wrong to me. :( I wanna be on board with this, but I can't. x.x
