here we have my 7 old characters of the Mario universe, reimagined. I found this old scrap book with these seven characters as the stars (ha one is a literal star) identified clockwise from the fellow with the hammer:
Brad the Carpenter: in one of the mushroom kingdoms many many neighbors lies the Orchard Kingdom, and one of these residents is Brad. a carpenter by trade (hence the hammer with blunt and tooth ends) and a stubble bound upper lip is our hero in purple...sorta. not the kind of guy to get up on time and often seen as lazy, he isn't traditional hero material. but when duty calls, he cleans up his act and gets right down to it. He isn't a great base jumper but he can teach Mario and Luigi a thing or two about hammering. He can reach high areas with a strong hammer upswing to launch himself. he can do a lot with his hammer...when it isn't lost.
Inch the Red Mouse: short he may compared to the tall Brad, but he has a tenacious spirit and courage. and a miniature moon that helps him traverse great distances and space. Mysterious as well as not much is known about this Orchard Kingdom denizen.
Goombrick: a goomba. but not just any goomba, he is in fact a hero (and has more screen time than Brad). This scarf wearing goomba has great jumping prowess and doesn't use his head to bonk opponents, he uses his feet and element skills. Truly a shining star of goombakind (not counting other notable shining goomstars)
ShyMai: This shyguy gal isn't that shy and has strong magic. She is simply an apprentice yet she holds promise and is indeed another hero. Not that strong of an attacking mage but has pretty supportive spells that buff up allies and buff down enemies with some attacking spells but her talent lies in her effects. She is also fairly open and friendly.
Staren: A fallen star who wasn't ready to fall holds a lot of power, and attitude, and is generally the magic tank of our heroes as his spells boast strong hits. He is grouchy and often harshly true, but the need to fulfill wishes compels him to help the rest. And will get "soft" when something gets emotional.
Brad, aka Broo the Boo: this Brad was once a man but now after a terrible accident about 2 centuries ago he lives among his fellow boo in the Orchard Kingdom's Ghost Manor. A typical boo but isn't that shy. He is generally a kind hearted fellow that occasionally pranks others. like our heroes when they entered the manor he haunts. If asked about his past life, he will shrug it off as if it were a little thing. He also tends to mess with foes and turn allies invisible and sometimes ghostly like himself for a short time to make them invulnerable, however this tends to tire the boo out. He's only about 200 years dead you know, still in his training sheets basically.
Princess Amelia Blossom( Princess Amy for short): at first she's a damsel in distress, but she is in fact a hero at heart. She can heal others in need and give them much needed recovery when knocked out. She is what you'd call in between in terms of personality. She is like Peach and Daisy. She likes her hair short and isn't as dainty as princesses should act, yet she upholds her duty to her people as well as a slight crush on our main heroic carpenter. She is indeed an active princess as well as kind, often participating in festivals and a lot of civilian festivities in person. She is a princess who is as loved by her people as she loves them.
