Cheetah was trapped in the very real death grip of the powerful Solomon Grundy, caught in an embrace with the captive Batman, Lex ordered the large zombie to do away with the traitor. No one listened to her pleas of innocence, but it was too late now, as those large powerful arms were squeezing her small petite frame.
The pressure was unbearable, it squeezed her ribcage in, making it had to breathe; her abdomen was caving in, squashing her internal organs together, contorting them in ways they were not meant to align; and it was restricting blood flow to her hands and legs, making them go numb. After a few minutes of torment...
CRUNCH!
The pain shot through her whole body like and explosion, waking up her whole body, and setting her mind ablaze. Somewhere, Grundy's massive arms were breaking her bones; but she was in such pain, she couldn't focus her mind enough to tell where. Arms? Ribs? Pelvis? Hips? Spinal column? It was excruciating, she couldn't even remember to scream; her mind slipped away as her body gave into to her captor's embrace, having only one coherent thought:
"I'm dead."
In the first season of the Justice League cartoon (the one that became Justice League Unlimited) featured a version of the Injustice Gang in the two-part "Injustice for All"; one of its members was the mutant cat-woman, Cheetah. I became an immediate fan of the character--she's a catwoman, and she goes around naked--but her swan song came when the other gang members caught her in a compromising situation with Batman, and left her with Solomon Grundy, who supposedly killed her.
I liked the character, and didn't want her to die, but I was also perturbed when she reappeared the next season, totally unharmed. I was glad that she was alive, but there was no indication as to how she survived Grundy; and for such a tragic and very human character, there should have been some consequences for her actions. If I were writing it, she would have ended up badly injured, even ending up disabled in a wheelchair; with the technology available in the DC universe, she would eventually recover and walk again, but for a time, she would be in worse shape than just being a furry fanboy's dream.

Actually, she wasn't supposed to appear in the next season at all, but the animators screwed up, because you can see her in the back of the squad car with the rest of them at the end of the episode. To that effect, they just decided to have Cheetah outwit Grundee and escape on her own.
I liked her too. They have some very....interesting shots of her from the rear in that episode. XD
