I love the colouring, and the layout of the pic. For some reason, I really dig the anonymity of the ballcap covering most of his face, I really like pinups and things that're shot, or drawn, the same way.

I don't know, to be honest, flat colors seem to fit the mood quite well. If it persists in future pics (if you plan for more), I would suggest keeping with flat colors. This is just from my personal standpoint, of course.

just colour like usual... but don't shade! Usually you'll have to pick a colour thats gonna be quite effective with the kinda lighting you want though.

It LOOKS like a freeze frame from a movie. I can almost see the motion.

Despite the gloomy undertones, I really like the colour palette, the smooth linework, and how both have been slightly subdued on the character in the background to show the distance between the two. That small, white object over the top of his cap piques my curiosity. My only guess is that it’s a label, or some kind of bizarre behaviour-modifying microchip attached to his ear which caused whatever emotional rift they’re going through. Kind of like what happens to Kai in The Snow Queen.

Yeah, that small white thing overlapping his ear. It’s ironic that I cycled through a list of things in my mind of what it could be, and diamond wasn’t one of them. Tiny, misplaced floor tile was, however. ._.

I have to say, this does seem like a scene from a movie, but more realistic as well =3 from what I see in this pic, I get the feeling he is in a gang and was heading out to either A. buy/sell drugs, or B. was called to a fight as back up or something. Like a gang fight was going on and he needed to help his gang out..... (horay for bad gang "knowledge" from GTA! lol) all I know about gangs is most likely from GTA XD but I hope you understand what I meant lol!
