Originally I used lands as spacers but I acquired a cutting machine to make them out of bristol now. It saves a good bit of time but they still take about 5 hours to complete.
I use an xacto to cut the cards. Other than that, I use super glue, a piece of plastic to protect the image, sharpies to color dark edges, paper clips and beads for the bars. I also clear coat the edges when complete so the sharpie doesn't wear off. :)
