Id like to all slap you in the face with this image because all your kind words and motivation truly helped me regain myself as an artist and a person. I can't thank you guys enough for the ones that took the time to give me thoughtful words and support me as an artist, as friend, a inspiration. I won't lie that all those comments made me cry because i never thought a community could care so much about someones artwork. I wish i could do much more for all of you. Thank you so much for caring and being there ill never forget this. I'm going to leave that journal up so that if i ever start to feel the darkness over my shoulder i can go back and see the thoughtful things all of you have said.
This image fits the feeling that I was having as an artist, Alexicus has always been a venting outpost for my anger, doubt, sadness or any negative emotion out there. Her demon that is locked in her collar's amulet filters and manifests hoping to control. I started to doubt myself, struggling to convince myself that i can do this, why should i be thinking negative. Until i snapped and i was close to quitting art as my main income, my hobby and just stop trying. My head felt heavy, everything felt weak like i was losing myself as a person even. Art has always been something i deeply enjoy. When i see people that are so inspired by me to keep going i took my stand from my head being beaten down by doubt. I am strong and no demon can hold me down for who i am. I will fight. I will not give up.

Wow, that is amazingly incredible! Such great artwork! My mate often put herself and her work down, but I always encourage her. I'm glad to see that you were able to get encouragement, it would be an absolute shame to see such a talented artist as yourself fade away into the background.

The detail and work that went into this is pretty obviously substantial. And Alexicus' defiance in the face of seemingly overwhelming odds ties in well to the story of yourself on the bottom.
As for the feelings you described, a lot of people can relate. A person's worst enemy can end up being themselves if they suffer from depression or the like. If you continue to feel that way then I encourage you to talk to a doctor or some organization that knows how to approach mental health. But that aside, it's good to have you here, and you are great at what you do.
