I don't post over here too much anymore, but I have a pic that I can actually post on this site today.
I started doodling and wound up with a new face on my character roster, Petra, the mecha-bunny.
She's a shy thing that likes being out in the sun, as it helps keep her charged. Her paint job has something like solar cells built in and it has a bit of a candy apple, or glitter, effect in bright light. She can also alter her colors while docked for a full charge procedure. Her eyes and muzzle are actually screens and her expressions are often like emoji parts when she is excited or agitated. Her ears articulate nicely, having two methods of movement incorporated. The first is that the whole assembly is mounted on a ball joint that can pivot, and the second is that the 'ears' are a rigid foil mounted on two antennae-like rods that enable a bit of shaping and fine articulation beyond what the ball joint offers. Her tail is a series of foil plates similar to her ears that can move and act as one of a few heat sync/dump methods built into her. An added feature is one that few may ever get to experience. She is fully functional as a she. The oddly shaped plates around her crotch can open and rest flush against the surrounding area. The opened petal reveal a specially designed input slot for collecting genetic based data.
This was just a quick doodle that seems to have taken on a life of it's own. I might have to try making a few friends for Petra.
Image was made on watercolor paper with sepia ink.
