Illusionist WIP
I always hesitate to post non-animal work on here, since it's a furry community and all (which is another reason I don't post as often as I'd like to). However, I think the monsters kinda make up for that human to the right. :)
I'll save you dA copypasta, but this is pretty much an illustration for my portfolio. This WIP is cropped and is about 40% the size of the original.
The original is 3200 x 4400 pixels @ 300dpi, so maybe someday the full thing will be available as a print? WHO KNOWS? 8D
Once my motherboard is shipped back to me, I can finish and post two furry CG commissions that have been stuck on my computer since November!

Ah ;_; this is awesome! All the details in the background are so incredible. The lighting on the face is really good too... so striking. Really makes the figure stand out, but still feel attached to the image. Seriously though!!, all those details back there! Amazing! I can't wrap my head around them.

The original image from a few years back had the figure without as much shadow, and I thought a little more could never hurt a dark piece like this. :)
The details are also really fun to do... even if they're a tad time-consuming. *shot* I'm glad you like it so far! :)

Man, I ALWAYS have to remind folk that human artwork is allowed on FA. Yes, it is a "furry community", but Dragoneer himself has said that human artwork is just fine. FA is for those within, or who enjoy the furry community, to post artwork of all kinds! Heck, we even have a "human" category, so there ya go. :}
All that aside: Wow. This is... amazing, sincerely mind-blowing. It's so perfect, and eerie.. I'd love to use this as my desktop. @___@ Good call on using this for your illustration portfolio!

I did know FA allowed human art, but I didn't know there was a 'human' category! :0 That actually encourages me a bit... I mostly didn't post because I thought there was no real area to put it. Thanks for telling me that! XD
I'm really glad you like it! I guess I have a thing for drawing monsters... haha. The finished version will be a portrait format, but maybe I can make a quick wallpaper and submit that as well. :) Thank you!
