yeah... now that I think about it, surprised that I didn't choose that as my 'sona species years ago, given that I grew up on the plains XD
probably has something to do with the fact that my head's always in the clouds ^//^" I feel like a person would need to be a bit more grounded to be a bison

Well... I've got around 300 characters already ^//^" (give or take about five-dozen "extras" made for specific graphic novel series that were never finished)
Actually, it's ironic that recently, I was thinking about designing one or two bison characters, but... well, let's just say I need more practice before I'd be satisfied with my ability to anthropomorphize that hump ^//^"
and I giggled at "grouded earth bison" X3

Damn that's a lot of characters. and i thought i was bad. most of them i just don't draw they just exist in writing so. But i usually make the hump just a big neck, because that's basically what it is in bison anyway. the way i did it on the warrior model sheet i did is pretty much the best compromise i've found for the most part.
sounds like a meal description actually

Yeah, when I get bored with a project, I usually turn to creating new characters ^//^" I would call them all extras, were it not for the fact that I was, at one point, working on a story about a furry college, and gave several of my anthro characters some background stories and professions. Do like the thought of drawing the hump as a big neck (maybe sturdy shoulders) although, the other day, I was really liking the idea of a greyscale, female, buffalo character, and designing some kind of fetching patterns in her natural fur that may or may not end up looking symbolic... I love big, furry ruffs on necks, though ^^ guess I'd just need to actually play with sketching my own designs, once I get a few other projects nailed down
and kinda does sound like a meal description, now that you mention it... Probably not a meal that I would eat though. Bison are not in the "will eat it" section of my cute vs tasty scale XD

It's both neck and the trapezius muscle that would come into play since all it is tweaking some things from human anatomy ( heres a little sketch i just made to show http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums.....son%20neck.jpg ) I wanna see your design when it's done! But yeah, it's just some comparative anatomy. Human musculature is essentially exactly the same as even a quadruped animal save for a few differences
Oh, I eat bison. Its great for you and often supports tribal nation economy and etc etc. I can't eat it a lot because it can be expensive, but it does taste better than beef.
