Mana was rescued from a woodland tribe that thought that they were cursed. Mana was raised by Airin and Company. They really look up to Kahala's strength, fear Rayna, and loves to help Z!
In their tribe, Mana had been disowned by their family, and was put away in isolation, forbidden to come in contact with anyone from the village.

Mana is BLIND, they have a special sight that allows them to see the life force and flow of magic through all things. Mana loves to project mental images instead of talking, but they do have a very beautiful voice once you get them talking. Mana's special sight can also help in seeing faults in the magic lines (such as when Z is working on magical equipment). They try their best to do everything they can to help.

Airin and company found Mana as they were trying to escape, at a very young age. The team decided to take in the child and raise them, teaching them how to talk, and how to use their powers.

(Zevran was thought dead, but was healed by Mana, Zevran was then renowned a hero for coming back to life. He never mentioned he was healed, due to the taboo of seeing Mana. He's the one who initially helped Mana escape)
