they keep a teapot hidden in their home with wind magic cast around it to keep any air from drying the blood inside. inside the teapot is a unique trinket, used to summon an elemental into the realm. it is activated by a mage's blood. aethe must keep it wet to remain in the realm for more than a few hours. aethe's specific trinket is akey with two gears, which change the shape of the blade to unlock multiple locks. it is made of bone.

aethe is unable to touch the trinket physically or magically, so the teapot is essential for his continued existence in the realm.
