Felt like doing another little Zootopia thing, so here is one about a character I haven't seen get any fan-art or fan-stories about yet.
Francine, the female elephant cop.
This is a story about how she and Judy tries out working as a duo for the first time, and how the two of them learns a little about each other.

THIS STORY TAKES PLACE AFTER THE MOVIE SO THERE IS A BUNCH OF PLOT POINTS SPOILED IN IT!

I hope you will find this a fun read, and that you will find this one scene character a bit more interesting.
Zootopia belong to Disney.
"Officer Humps and Officer Spitz, you two take on the Sahara Square!"
"Yes Sir!"
"Officer McHorn and Officer Wilde, you two go to the Rainforest District!"
"Yes Sir!"
"And finally Officer Hopps and Officer Francine, you two patrol down the Savannah Central!"
"Yes Sir!"
"Is it all fully understood?!"
"Yes Sir!"
"Then Proceed!"
The powerful voice of police Chief Bogo could be heard all over the Zootopian Police Department as he was handing out today's missions to his trusty fellow officers.
Having more men to distribute out was always welcoming, and when two of those new recruits also happen to be the ones that not only solved the mystery with the "Savaged Predators", but also discovered a dastardly plan to split up the city and have all predators to be feared and forced out, then that was more then welcomed.
And the team up of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde had been as much of a dream team to have for the law as anyone could wish for. With Judy being the "Strict" and "Always by the book" kind of cop, and Nick being the much more "Streetsmart" and "Knowing how the city works" kind of guy they really knew how to solve next to any situation they came across with.
So as to see if their amazing talents could work just as well when split up, Chief Bogo had decided to have them both assigned a different partner for today and see if this could result in twice as many crimes getting solved during the course of one day.
Since neither Nick or Judy seemed to have any problems with this they where now both assigned with a ridiculously larger partner! (Given that they where both species that was a lot smaller in size compare to the ones that would normally be in the police force.)
Nick was now partnered up with a male Rhino, and Judy was stuck together with the only other female in the group.
Francine the Elephant.
While Judy had been both the first Bunny and first Prey to join the Zootopia forces, she was actually not the first female.
That honour had to go to Francine instead, who had been a working force for a couple of years before Judy had joined in. (And the Rabbit officer was more then a little excited over the chance to getting to know her fellow colleague some more.)
A little bit later the two of them was patrolling the streets of Zootopia together, and while Judy could still be called "The Rookie" of the two Francine was the one that seemed to look a lot more unsure on how to act compared to Judy.
"So..." Judy said as to break the silence between the two, which caused Francine to jump in surprise since she wasn't prepared for it.
"IEH!" Francine shouted before seeing just what a scene she was creating. "Sorry. Just didn't know you where going to talk." She then said.
"You don't usually talk with your buddy cops?" Judy asked confused, to which Francine said "No. It is mostly just both of us being silent for the most parts until something happen, at which point my colleague will often order me what to do."
"And you have never got to be the one in charge?" Judy asked in a mixture of surprise and concern, to which Francine said "Not really yet, no."
"Wow. That sounds a bit rough." Judy said, to which Francine was quick to try and make it better by saying "It's okay. I am getting used to it now.", but it only made the awkward mode between the two even more awkward.
After some more moments of silence it was Francine's turn to suddenly speak up as she said "You know Judy, I truly admire you and your commitment." to her colleague.
This made the smaller Bunny cop twitch her ears slightly (As to confirm that she had heard that correctly.), before making a polite "Excuse me?" just to be sure.
"Oh, but I really mean it! It is just so amazing that you during the course of a few days you managed to...
• Write out over 200 parking tickets in one day.
• Found all of those 14 predators that had gone missing.
• Revealed that they had all in fact been drug victims, and that it was Dawn Bellwether who was behind it all!
• And that after your first reveal you even got the offer to become the new Chief of the whole Police Force from our temporary mayor! (Which was a good thing that you didn't accept, since it was the evil one that was in charge just then.)
Basically you have been doing so much and got so much attention during the course of days, that I myself haven't even managed to get for years." Francine said, as she seemed to almost get a little teary-eyed over saying it all at once.
"I had no idea that I would end up pushing you into my shadow like that." Judy said, as she hadn't really known how her fellow officer had been feeling when seeing all the quick success that she had been having.
"That's when small moments like having Chief Bogo mention that it was my birthday to all the colleagues during the morning means a lot to me, as it makes me not feel so over looked as I otherwise is." Francine said before looking at he rabbit partner and realising something else about that moment.
"Oh! And sorry for having my birthday wishes making your introduction getting forgotten back then, as it was your first day on the force and all." She said, to which Judy just laughed a little bit as she said back "No need to worry there. I don't think that Chief Bogo really would have cared that much about introducing me, no matter if it was someone's birthday or not."
Feeling a bit better now when knowing that her female college was also fine with it Francine wanted to lighten the mood a little bit by asking "Would you want to know a secret about me?" to Judy, who in return took the bait and said back "Sure! What is it?"
"I am not usually much for emotions, but I think that I might have some feelings for "That Cute Cheetah Guy by the Desk"." Francine revealed and blushed a little, to which Judy Hopps got positively surprised and said "Clawhauser?!"
"Yep!" Francine said as she was holding her paws close together and looking about as excited as a young teen girl ready for prom night.
"Have you told him yet about your emotions?" Judy asked, to which Francine replied "Not yet, but I am working on it!"
Just then the alarms started to go off in Judy's police phone, and she lifted it up to hear "Officer Hopps and Officer Francine, come in at once!"
Francine quickly picked it up and replied "Officer Francine here! What's the situation?"
"We have rapports of a robbery from a nearby grocery store in your area, and reports that the robber might be heading your way!" The voice said before a sudden flash of fur passed by the two officers, revealed to be none other the low life crook Duke Weaselton! (Someone that Judy had been having experience to arrest before.)
"We just had him pass us by and we will take on the chase!" Francine said before she hanged up, and the two of them started to take on the chase!
Being the much faster one of the two Judy was very quick to keep up the pace with Duke, while Francine was slinking back.
Knowing that the trained rabbit would catch him in no time the slinky weasel had to start making some kind of detour to try and shake her off, and hence he made a sudden turn into a tight looking alley.
As the two cops was chasing after him Judy could hear Francine suddenly shout to her "You go after him Judy, and I will try and block him at the other end!", and Judy followed fully along on that plan as she rushed in after Duke.
This alley way happen to not only be very narrow and long, but all consisting of a lots of turns, and having a lot of junk laying around everywhere!
So for Duke Weaselton it was just to try and toss as my garbage as possible behind him, and hope that any of it would slow down the rabbit that had once caught him before.
Seeing this as almost the same as her major obstacle course from the Police Academy Judy had no problems at all to jump, duck, and slide pass next to everything the weasel was tossing at her!
It wasn't until the final curve when the weasel tossed a banana peel, and of all things in the entire alley that was ironically the thing that caused Judy to slip up and land straight on her butt.
Seeing that he had just got his biggest threat out of the way Duke Weaselton would be proven to be VERY wrong when the almost gigantic Francine could be seen by the exit of the alley, blocking it all up with her big body!
Or rather not all of it as the clever weasel could see how there was a small gap by the left side of her body, and he thought that if he was just quick enough then he could slink his way out right pass the massive elephant!
When he wanted to Duke Weaselton could be one quick mammal and at almost the speed of a shot out bullet he was flying his way towards the elephant, and towards freedom!
But Francine proved to have very quick reflexes herself as just when the weasel and his stolen loot was about to run pass her the elephant female shoved her whole body straight into the brick wall with as much force as she could do, squishing the weasel hard!
Finally getting back on her feet and rounding the corner Judy gets first a little bit scared over what she sees, as both the walls, Francine's uniform, and mostly the weasel himself is all covered in something red!
Seeing the shocked look on her colleague's face Francine is quick to pick up the bag that the weasel had been holding this whole time and said "It is not what it looks like Judy! This is just the result of what happen when I flatted the tomatoes he had been stealing." before holding up one of the ruined tomatoes as proof, making Judy calm down again.
"That's a relief since I thought that was all...let's just get him to the station now." The rabbit said, as she didn't want to even think that gory image into her head again.
As they where going up the stairs and just about to open the main doors to the Police Station Judy turned to Francine and said, "Just so you know, you can say that it was all thanks to you we got him."
Francine got a little bit surprised by what her colleague was telling her and asked why she would want her to have all the glory.
"Cause you did pretty much everything important during this case. You answered the call, you called out the plan, and in the end you where the one who captured Duke Weaselton. You where acting just like a professional cop did." Judy explained and she could clearly see just how touched by the words Francine got, as she took the moment to give Judy a big hug as thanks.
"Let's leave this crook over to the boss!" Judy said as they open up the doors and walked in.
Once inside the very obese cheetah that was Clawhauser was currently taking a bite out of a chocolate bar when he almost choked on it when he saw the tomato covered Duke Weaselton!
"Oh good grief!" He said in shock before Francine calmed him down by saying "He is just a bit messy after getting caught trying to steal tomatoes."
"Oh, I see." Clawhauser said before calling for someone to pick the criminal up, and he couldn't help but to add in "Clean up in dial 4." as a joke.
Francine couldn't help but giggle a little bit at Clawhauser's comedy, and said to him that "You have a bit of a talent for that sort of stuff."
"Y-You think I have?" Clawhauser asked, not being used to hear someone liking his shenanigans during work time.
"Yes I do, and I was wondering if maybe you would like to...you know, go out one evening?" Francine asked, to which Clawhauser first gulped down the chocolate he was chewing on before saying "I-If you would like that."
"Then maybe Friday night next week would work for you?" Francine asked charmingly, to which Clawhauser got his big cheeks to blush and answered "I think I am free by then."
"Then see you later then, big guy." Francine said before giving a small wink and then walking away to the changing room with Judy Hopps. (And as she looked back she could see how Clawhauser was taking her comment about him in his own special way, as he was flexing his "Muscle" arms to himself.)
Getting out of their uniforms and back into their civil clothes Judy just had to ask her partner for the day "So how was this day for you? Did you get to be the cop you always wanted to be?"
The female elephant first gave Judy another hug before saying "It was all that and more! I loved having you as my partner, and I hope that we will get to work together more times!" to her.
