Falco sparverius is a small falcon. This bird was also known in North America as a sparrow hawk.
I 'think' this one is male, however I'm not certain.
Shot RAW with a HUGE 1900mm lens. It's a challenging lens to use as its a f/15, lacks a aperture and doesn't communicate with the camera. Thankfully my D200 can be programmed with the size and f/* so it can get close metering.
