Not as cliche as the Disney "unexpected" villain plot twist.

Oh true. But I was happy with the twist, I was rooting for her to do something out of character.

Exploring her motivations would have been more interesting. Was she racist? Or just power hungry? Was her plot all she had planned? Or was it a step towards a final solution? A big plot completely missed by Disney!

Yeah, I wish they went more into her backstory. But it wasn't a total miss for me, I felt Bellwether's main role was to just represent the possible revenge path Judy could have taken. So their origin stories are most likely very similar considering they're both small animals seeking big authority positions. Except of course, Bellwether didn't grow out of the prejudice mindset. And if we're keeping it Disney, I don't think they would ever explicitly say mass extermination was a part of her plan haha but complete exclusion and keeping them in a rabid state is maybe even more dark in some ways.

Ironic considering that Disney was racist even by American standards back in the day.

So I wasn't the only one who wanted it to happen. The cute scene where one finds the other asleep.
