Its similar to this. I think its more along the lines that, when their Ego's get big enough, they simply stop taking "original" commissions and for for the "YCH" rout, so they can get away with drawing whatever the fuck they want, and people literally throw their wallets at their computer to get what they THINK is something original, when the artist really has half the picture done and just is feeling to lazy to finish it and says "hey, I can get money from the dumbasses who like my porn!"

"For just $150 dollars, you can get this picture that, while it looks really great and well detailed; will have absolutely no relative use that would warrant such a ludicrous price...and that's it! Nothing else"

Eh, I'm not sure about that. Most artists I know do a lot of credible, hard-earning work, and then there are some great artists who don't charge much and still produce artwork; like Demonroyal, through, unfortunately, he'll be leaving FA for the same reasons above. What I'm trying to say is that if there are REALLY artists like this, then I just hope my favorite ones don't get as discouraged by it and continue making their art :C

You missed part of the joke here. It's not that they aren't working hard.

It's about popular artists that make a lot of money by pooping out "clone" images. Hence the all the "YCH" pictures in the background, as well as the artist stamping out another one for $100.

I couldn't blame them. I'd do the same in their shoes. It's still amusing to notice though.

There is still a point of self control where the artist is setting a bad precedent.

I don't blame auctions, as people are willing to go that high. I don't approve of starting bids of $200-300 for a slot in a multi character picture.
