I'm SO glad they didn't make any Cheech and Chong references in the movie. Or just one too many in your face references for that matter (godfather).

They did have that Breaking Bad reference.

I'm not. I would've loved a subtle reference to C&C, even if it was just to have Cheech on the same project/in the naturalist colony. I think restraint came when they realized that even today's adults probably wouldn't get the reference, which is a cry and a shame.

But your right. BB does feel like it's today's C&C reference.

same here. I accidentally stumbled over the first and second movie on TV, since the topic isn't my usual thing to watch. :P but they weren't half-bad.
